FACTOR VIII

IgG antibodies which occur in alloimmunized patients are the factor VIII inhibitors.

How to prepare for the test?

Brief clinical history should be provided and overnight fasting is recommended. Patients should discontinue heparin for 1 day and oral anticoagulants should be stopped for days before collecting samples. These drugs affect test results.
