MAGNESIUM 24 HR URINE
Magnesium, a cofactor of many enzyme systems. Complications like decreased renal function as in dehydration, addison's disease or diabetic acidosis reduces the urinary excretion of magnesium. Excretion is enhanced by chronic glomerulonephritis, aldosteronism & Drugs like cyclosporine. This evaluation is helpful for assessing the case of abnormal serum magnesium concentration.
