VITAMIN-B6

The test is used to determine the deficiency or increase of vitamin B6. Deficiency of this vitamin is associated with metabolic disorders.

How to prepare for the test?

The patient is asked to avoid taking any vitamin supplements and alcohol 24 hours before the collection of sample. The patient is also asked to avoid eating anything for 12 hours. The sample is wrapped in aluminium foil to protect it from light.
